Taylor Swift’s Ronan Mom Pays Deep Tribute to Tatiana Schlossberg

Maya included a screenshot of the article, which the outlet published the day before and was the first public disclosure of Schlossberg’s diagnosis, along with a lengthy message to her followers.
“Tatiana didn’t imagine this pain. She lived it. She tried to remember the faces of her loved ones. She wrote about her son and how she watched him play, trying to hold every detail in her mind,” Maya wrote. “Reading her words reminded me of nights in the hospital.” (Schlossberg has two children with her husband George Moran: A 3-year-old son and an 18-month-old daughter. )
Ronan died in May 2011 from stage 4 neuroblastoma. He was three days away from his fourth birthday.
Schlossberg, 35, is caroline kennedy and a cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr.revealed in her article that she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She only had one year left to live.

It reaches and touches the unspeakable. I paid to read it, and I will pay again. It should be placed gently in the hands of anyone who still believes that life is certain. Anyone who has not had their world changed by a word from a doctor. Anyone who has forgotten how sacred a heartbeat really is.”
Maya then wrote about the heartbreaking impact she felt upon reading Schlossberg’s words. “But I don’t just understand this piece. I live it because of Ronan,” her caption read. “My son taught me what it means to love when time is of the essence. He taught me that hope and fear can coexist. He taught me that memories are what you begin to protect when you realize that you may outlast the moments you wish to stay. Once you live out that truth, you never look at life the same way again. You listen deeper. You tighten up. You begin to love in a way that doesn’t wait for permission.”

Courage sometimes looks like just staying in a room when your heart wants to beat. I felt it all again. The pain that never really goes away. The quiet love that allows you to breathe even when everything hurts.”
Maya turned to Schlossberg and continued, “She writes about her husband sleeping on the hospital floor. She writes about the beginning and the end of life. She writes with the clarity and tenderness of someone who loves this world so much that she is forever prepared to leave it.”
