Days of Our Lives: Marlena’s devastating betrayal tore Brady apart – and shattered the family!

days of our lives Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was devastated last week to learn that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) was hiding a devastating secret from him about his daughter Rachel Black (Alice Halsey). Brady is shocked, he’s angry at Marlena, and their family has been torn apart.

We’re going to talk about how bad things are going to get between Brady and Marlena now that Rachel’s on board. bay view Brady knew Marlena had been lying to his face for some time.

Days of Our Lives: Brady reaches his limit

For a long time, nearly his entire life, Brady had a very close relationship with his stepmother, Marina. Their love for John Blake (Drake Hogestyn) is one of their many shared family ties that makes their relationship so strong. But now Brady is disgusted with Marlena and he’s moved out. It seemed like he was at breaking point and couldn’t take it anymore.

We all know that life has been crazy for Brady this year. His son Tate Black (Leo Howard) thought he got Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) pregnant, only to discover that Aaron Green (Louis Tomeo) was the father. Tate was heartbroken thinking he wouldn’t see his baby, then it was a secondary shock to find out it wasn’t even his baby. So Brady stayed with Tate (Leo Howard) through his year-long ordeal, which took its toll on both of them.

Rachel’s disturbing behavior and escalating actions on DOOL

Brady and his daughter Rachel have a busy year ahead of them. She’s a lot like her mother, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk): rotten to the core and ruthless in pursuing what she wants. Like Kristen, Rachel never stops. She successfully chased away every woman Brady dated in hopes that he and Kristen would reconcile.

When things got really bad, Brady and Kristen treated Rachel after she helped kidnap Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Sadly, the therapist didn’t make much progress with Rachel. Remember, her CPS file is open due to her mischief and causing trouble.

Recently, the troubled kid discovered an old article about Sarah Horton (Lindsay Godfrey) and the Mackenzie/Rachel baby swap. Rachel learns that Sarah kidnapped her. Additionally, Rachel discovered online that Sarah was allergic to pistachios.

Rachel went too far in her days

After Rachel sees Brady and Sarah hugging, she decides to do something bad. Rachel puts some pistachio ice cream into Sarah’s sundae at the bar, knowing the doctor has severe allergies and that the stunt could kill her. But before Sarah starts eating the ice cream, Rachel asks about the kidnapping and discovers that she knows Sarah pretty bad and that she actually really loves her. So Rachel tried to stop her, but it was too late. Thankfully, Sarah survived, but let’s face it, that kid was a horrible little psycho.

The Shocking Truth: Rachel’s Confession and Marina’s Betrayal in Our Lives

By then, Rachel was scarier than Brady knew, as Marina, Kristen and EJ DiMera (Dan Ferrigal) held the biggest secret. When Sarah begins wheezing from anaphylactic shock caused by nuts, this triggers Rachel’s memories of shooting her uncle EJ. In the hospital, Rachel confesses the shocking truth to Brady: she shot EJ, and Kristen was not the murderer.

Brady runs to tell his sister, Belle Black (Martha Madison), about everything his kids have done, including the shooting, and she’s equally shocked by Rachel. They talked about how they needed to take the pressure off Marlena and not tell her about Rachel because Marlena had just had pacemaker surgery. But then she found out Brady and Bell were hiding something the days we live in.

Brady got the biggest shock when he admitted that she already knew Rachel shot EJ, and Kristen took the responsibility in order to protect their daughter. Marlena thinks it makes sense, because she thinks it’s best for Rachel’s memory to recover naturally. But Brady didn’t think keeping the secret from him was the best thing. He understands the entirety of Rachel’s memories, but not the lies they told him.

Fallout and Fury: Brady breaks off relationship with Marina on DOOL

He now understands that Kristen was protecting Rachel, and he may regret advocating for the maximum sentence despite Kristen’s innocence. But ultimately, I think what Brady feels the most is the betrayal of Marlena, who was essentially his mother. EJ lied to Brady, that’s to be expected. That’s on brand. But Marlena and Kristen are a different story entirely. Rachel comes in now bay view, Brady feels like if someone had trapped him, maybe he could have prevented things from getting to this point.

Days of Our Lives: Rachel in the Dark

Rachel doesn’t know now that her dad, Brady, is angry at her grandma, Marlena. In fact, Rachel didn’t even know that Marlena knew she shot EJ. To say Brady is crazy would be an understatement. Marina tells Leo Stark (Greg Rikart) that she realizes she’s totally screwed up. On top of that, Brady decided to pack up and move out of Marina’s townhouse as soon as possible.

When Brady recounts the entire situation to his AA sponsor Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), she tells Brady, “Come over here. Come live in the Kiriakis mansion.” Brady is, after all, Victor’s grandson and the family home. So when Marina comes home from the hospital, her house will be very empty except for her and Belle. No Brady, no Rachel, and no Tate because he lives in the dorms Salem University. Sure, he’ll be kicked out of school soon, but then he’ll probably end up at Maggie’s mansion, too.

Divided Family: Can Brady and Marlena Reconcile?

As things stand, it might take something big to get Brady to forgive Marlena. We knew Rachel was here to stay. bay view For a long time, we see her teaming up with the psychotic Sofia. No idea what they would do in that situation. They can escape from Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bones) or kidnap Little T. You’d think Rachel would stay put and get the help she needs, but that’s just not her nature. Now, Brady has blamed Marlena for Rachel being in the psych ward. The longer she was there, the more likely Brady was to lose his temper with Marlena.

What’s really sad is that Brady and Marlena are pretty much the closest step-mother-son relationship he’s ever had in his life. She helped raise Brady after his mother, Isabella Toscano (Stacey Gleeson), died of cancer when he was a baby. Now that John is gone, Marlena already feels lonely, now that she’s lost Rachel and Brady. I don’t think Tate would necessarily turn his back on her, but he might get closer to Brady and Rachel. Of course, Bella will do anything for her mom, and friends Julie Williams (Susan Seavers Hayes), Maggie and Marlena will be by her side, as well as Leo. But considering her health issues and ongoing grief, it could be really hard for Marlena to have Brady be so angry with her.

Christine to the rescue?

However, a surprising person might swoop in and mediate the relationship between Brady and Marlena. Once Kristen comes out of the basement and exonerates EJ for the shooting, I think she can defuse the tension and animosity between them. If you remember, it was Kristen who begged Marlena and EJ not to tell anyone that Rachel pulled the trigger and shot EJ. Kristen was very insistent, especially since she didn’t want Brady to know. She didn’t want him to look at Rachel differently.

Now that Kristen sacrificed her freedom to protect Rachel, maybe Brady will listen to her and let go of his anger and see that no one is trying to hurt him. They tried to protect Rachel. They also sincerely tried to protect Brady. Hopefully he won’t be angry with Marlena for too long. But now, their family is torn apart. I just hope her heart isn’t completely broken. We all know John Black doesn’t want this to come between Brady and Marlena. So maybe the Black family will get a Christmas miracle of love and healing.
