Author: Chris Snelgrove Published
this is an exciting moment stranger things fan. The series finale will air on New Year’s Eve, and we’ll finally find out if our characters can land a critical hit and successfully defeat Vecna once and for all.
Understandably, fans have a lot of questions about the ending, including who will die and whether the Mind Flayer is actually as dormant as everyone thought. However, I focus on another question that the show has thus far refused to answer: What is the significance of November 6th? stranger things absolutely obsessed and?
November 6th is the day when time stops

The mystery all started with the news that the Upside Down was frozen on November 6, 1983. Will Byers was kidnapped on this day, leading fans to speculate that there must be some kind of connection. Eventually, we get an answer: this is the date Eleven opened the Gate to the Upside Down by making spiritual contact with the Demon King.
This still leaves some mechanical issues stranger things Of course, fans have to unpack it. It’s unclear why time is completely frozen in the Upside Down, but the original mystery appears to have been solved. Eleven people create a bridge to the monster world, and one of them captures Will on the same day.
Mystery solved, right? No.
November 6th is not just a day when time stops

Not quite: November 6, 1959, we later discovered, was also the day Henry Creel (the future Vecner) was about to make his debut in a play directed by Joyce. Fast forward nearly thirty years to November 6, 1987, and Vecna will attempt to merge the hell dimension known as “The Abyss” with our own world.
These events (especially the drama) seem to have there is nothing It has something to do with when Eleven happened to open the gateway. So, we wonder what the significance of this particular date is. With any luck, stranger things The series finale would provide some answers, but oddly enough, the show turned the date into a major mystery that lasted nearly a decade.
drama Stranger Things: The First Shadow Clarify that it was on this day that something catastrophically went wrong for Henry Creel. After gaining the power of Dimension X, he killed his mother and sister, injured the girl he loved, and was dragged back to Hawkins Laboratory by Dr. Brenner. Because of this, some fans believe Henry (now Vecna) was obsessed with the date, viewing it as a traumatic memory.
no coincidence

Traumatic memories could explain (at least in part) why Vecna wanted to launch his crazy “merge the worlds” plan on November 6th. He may relive his trauma and even share his pain with everyone on the planet in a morbidly ironic rendezvous.
It doesn’t explain why this happens to be the same day that Eleven opens the portal to the Upside Down, leading to Will Byers being kidnapped by Vecna. It could just be a coincidence, but I think Lucas represents us all stranger things In Season 5, he said: “I don’t believe in coincidences… not anymore.”
It’s a very safe bet stranger things The series finale will provide Some Answer why November 6th is so important. Will this answer satisfy fans who have been puzzled by this mystery? Year That’s another question entirely.
The quality of this answer could determine whether the show lands successfully or becomes the next game of Thrones: This masterpiece was slowly unraveled until the show fans once loved was literally gone.
