Sarah Jessica Parker thanks Matthew Broderick at Carol Burnett Awards

The 60-year-old actress accepted the honor during an annual primetime special on CBS and Paramount+ golden nightairing Thursday, January 8. Before accepting the award, Parker was honored by her husband, Matthew Broderick and friends Coleman Domingo and Kristin Davis.
“To my beloved family, my talented husband of just under 30 years, Matthew Broderick, who gave me a family discount and free access to his acting and comedy masterclasses,” she said. “and [his] Dedication and devotion to family made us the divine James, Will, Loretta and Tabitha we are. The Golden Globes announced Parker as the Carol Burnett Award winner in November 2025, noting in a press release at the time that the honor “recognizes her contributions to the television industry both in front of and behind the camera.”

The Carol Burnett Award was established at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2019. The honorary award is named after its first recipient, 92-year-old Burnett. Since then, the award has been awarded to Ellen DeGeneres 2020, norman lear 2021, Ryan Murphy 2023 and Ted Danson 2025.
