‘It’s With Us’ author Colleen Hoover reveals cancer diagnosis

It all ends with us author Colleen Hoover is speaking out about being diagnosed with cancer.
“Penultimate day of radiation!” Hoover, 46, shared a photo of herself in a hospital gown on her Instagram Stories on Monday, January 12. She noted that she was undergoing radiation therapy at Texas Oncology.
She added, “I wish I could blame @texas.oncology for my hair and facial expressions but they are awesome. Hope you never need them but highly recommend them.”
Hoover has not publicly revealed what type of cancer she is battling, but has shared updates on her diagnosis in recent months.
Back in December 2025, Hoover announced via her Facebook page that she had been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer, according to a screenshot posted on Instagram by content creator Katyinck.
Hoover wrote that much of her time in 2025 will be spent on the set of the upcoming movie based on her novel reminder to him In Canada, “I had recurring health issues, so I kept putting it off until the movie was finished.”
“When I got home, I found out I had cancer,” she said.
Hoover wrote that the cancer had been “surgically removed” and that she would undergo further radiation therapy.
“Although it felt a bit huge and scary, I had to miss it Regret you premiere, and a number of other important professional and personal moments that I just wasn’t ready to share with anyone until I knew what the outcome would be,” she posted.

Hoover shared another update in a Facebook post on Friday, January 9, writing: “Today I got results from a geneticist saying my cancer does not come from a family gene. Nor does it come from the two leading causes of cancer, HPV and excess hormones.”
