The 33-year-old Rare Beauty cosmetics founder is all smiles in the photo, posing casually as she looks into the camera with her hand lightly placed on the side of her forehead.
Gomez has been outspoken about her journey to beauty and body confidence after coming under constant scrutiny growing up as a public figure.
“Being in the public eye from a young age can definitely be stressful. It’s hard to feel comfortable when you feel like everyone is watching, judging and commenting on your appearance,” she told me Charming Britain December 2022. “Confidence is still something I work on every day, but my perspective completely changed when I stopped trying to conform to society’s unrealistic beauty standards.”
Gomez launched Rare Beauty in September 2020 with the goal of “shattering unrealistic standards of perfection,” according to the brand’s website.
The Disney alum explains how she thinks her brand can play a role in getting people to cheer up instead of feeling bad about themselves.
“I think Rare Beauty is more than just a beauty brand, it can make an impact. I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each other and start embracing our own uniqueness,” Gomez said.

“It took me a long time to realize that I just wanted to be myself — and the things that make me unique also make me beautiful,” she shared with the outlet at the time.
In March 2025, Gomez slammed strangers for body-shaming her on the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” podcast and revealed the impact those negative comments had on her over the years.
“I weigh a lot [issue]. Everyone has something to say and it really makes me sad, not even sad because I’m not a victim, everybody, I just feel like it makes me a little bit miserable and I feel really guilty for saying that, but it’s the truth,” Gomez said on the podcast.

Gomez also explained that her weight often fluctuates due to side effects of the medication she takes to treat lupus.
“I’d rather stay healthy and take care of myself. My medications are important and I believe they help me,” Gomez continued. “Not a model, ever. Mind you, I think they’re great. I’m definitely not that way.”
Gomez added that she usually tries to avoid reading comments about herself on social media, but that’s not always possible.
“I’m human and sometimes I read something,” she said. “But most of the time, I do ignore everything. I don’t have anything on my phone at the time. So, there are ways to combat it.”
