little mix singer Jesse Nelson Reportedly split from her long-time love fiancé Zion FosterJust a few weeks ago, she revealed that her 8-month-old twins are battling a serious muscle disease.
Nelson, 34, and Foster parted ways after four years together but remained friends and co-parents, the sun Reported on Monday, January 19th.
The couple got engaged in September 2025, just four months after Nelson welcomed twin daughters Story and Ocean.

In early January, Nelson revealed the heartbreaking news that her daughters had been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy type 1 (SMA), a genetic disorder that causes muscle weakness.
“A few months ago, my mom noticed that the girls’ legs weren’t showing as much movement as they should,” Nelson shared in a Jan. 4 Instagram video. “[It] I wasn’t really worried at the time because from the moment I left the NICU I was told, ‘Your baby is premature, so don’t compare your baby to other babies.’ They won’t reach the same milestones. Just take them as they are. ‘”
“When healthcare visits come, we’re told, ‘They look great, they’re healthy, everything is fine,'” the singer shared. “Then there started to be signs that they were having trouble eating normally. They were eating less and less.”
Nelson continued: “To make a long story short, after three of the toughest games [or] After four months of endless appointments, the girls have now been diagnosed with a serious muscle disease called SMA Type 1. “
Several celebrities announced in 2025 that their families were expanding. In November, Carly Rae Jepsen and Cole MGN announced they were expecting baby No. 1, while 90 Day Fiancé stars Emily and Kobe Bieberly said they were expecting baby No. 4 on the way. “Type 1 is the most severe type a baby can have. It stands for spinal muscular atrophy and affects every muscle in the body, including the legs, arms, breathing, swallowing… Over time, it kills the muscles in the body,” she explained. “If it is not treated in time, the baby will not live longer than 2 years old.”
Storey and Ocean quickly received treatment for SMA Type 1, Nelson said, and the two little guys have now completed treatment.

An emotional Nelson added: “The past few months have been the most heartbreaking time of my life. I literally feel like my whole life has been turned 360 degrees. They have received treatment and I have no doubt that my girls will overcome all odds and with the right help they will beat it all and go on to do things they have never done before. “
