‘Beyond the Gate’ Spoilers for Tuesday: Boss Lady Vanessa McBride and Joey Armstrong Learn Violence
Tuesday, January 27th, is the 17th episode of Season 2 beyond the gate. We have Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) as the boss lady who takes care of business. When that guy Lance (Koval McClure) came to her in Offee Jeans last week, she didn’t flinch at all and I applauded her. I think she makes a great little gangster. She definitely seems to have a knack for it.
Plus, Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) surprises Danny Dupree (Karla Mosley) with something romantic. Haley Lawson (Marquita Goins) was rejected and doesn’t like facing it. I’m sure this was Bill’s rejection. He didn’t like her vitriol and her snarky comments about Danny carrying the cancer gene because it meant his daughters could be in danger.
He thought they were all safe, but Naomi Hamilton certainly wasn’t. So, this week, Haley told Andre that he knew what was going on and what he needed to do, and he said, “Yeah.” So, I think Andre now agrees with Haley that they have to be aware of the risks to Bill and Danny and keep them apart.
Plus, Joey taught someone a hard lesson. I guess it’s Lance, the guy who harassed Vanessa. I’m curious to see what he’ll do. If Joey broke the guy’s hand on Vanessa – and he left marks on her – then Joey is a violent person. We haven’t seen him interact with anyone yet. Usually, he lets others do his dirty work.
He’s going to make threats and stuff like that, but I think he’s going to take it personally, and I think Lance is going to be really frustrated. Katherine “Kate” Richardson (Colby Muhammad) sees a few people getting animated, so I guess she’s going to check on her father, Dr. Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson). residential area With Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson). Kate then grilled Shanice, wanting to know how long this had been going on and how long it had been since she’d seen her father.

On Wednesday, January 28, Nicole had some critical words for Kat. This could be because she’s annoyed with Tom for checking up on her, or it could be because Kate is bad-mouthing Eva Thomas (Ambie Mitchell). Basically, Nicole thinks Kate is just too attached and lets negativity take over instead of appreciating what she has.
I can tell. It’s a hard, you know, family thing, but I do think Kate has to adjust her attitude at some point. I know fans are very divided on this issue. Leslie sets a trap for someone. She’s either plotting against Shanice or plotting to frame Ted and try to mess up his relationship with Shanice by getting him alone with her.
Leslie made it very clear to Shanice that she had just put Ted to bed a while ago and that she wasn’t going to stop. I don’t think she’s going to stop hanging out with Marcel Malone (Daryl W. Handy) either. So, Leslie wants to have her cake and eat it too, and then go back.
Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malick) is having an argument with his son, Jacob Hawthorne (Gibrey Hodges), and I’m sure it’s probably related to the Plasma Undercover case. Additionally, Naomi continually lied to Jacob about being BRCA positive. Naomi went to Offee’s Jeans with Jacob this week, and Naomi told him she’d been at the hospital studying pre-cancer prevention.
Of course, Jacob wanted to know why. So maybe she’ll say it’s for her mom Danny. I think she’ll be lying for a while longer. Also, Vernon was kicked out of his home on Wednesday. I wonder if Anita let him go for a while because he hung around after her breakdown. Bradley Smith (Mike Manning) has been out all night, and Martin Richardson (Brandon Claiborne) wants to know where he is. I think Smitty is trying to get the scoop on Jacob’s secret Red Market plasma ring box.
Thursday’s Beyond the Gate spoilers: February sweeps and potential soap opera crossover
Thursday, January 29th, is the 19th episode of Season 2 beyond the gate. This is the first day of February cleaning, which will last until February 25th. Derek Baldwin (Ben Garvin) and Grayson Perez (Jordi Vilasuso) step in, and Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacobs) falls into mediation. Derek was already being a jealous jerk at Offee Jeans last week. He just wouldn’t stop meddling, and Ashley was tired of it. I imagine there will be a quick “come to Jesus” between the two of them.
Chelsea Hamilton (Ronnie Rose Mandilla) and Kate have a chance to enter Fenmore’s department store, they are preparing for the meeting. I wonder if this means we’ll get a Lauren Fenmore (Tracy E. Bregman) crossover the young and the restless. Elsewhere, Bill tries to connect with Vernon and reminisce, but his ex-fiancée interrupts. Danny also proposes to Izea Hawthorne (David Ramey Friebe); she wants him to do some modeling.
Spoilers for Friday: Bill Hamilton’s lab results and Anita Dupree’s emotional loss
Friday, January 30, is the 20th episode of Season 2 beyond the gate. We have Bill talking to Madison Montgomery (Kenja) in the hospital. She ran some lab tests on him and she said there was something wrong. Bill wanted to know what was going on because everything had been fine for months.
I’m curious if the kind of drug Haley used on Bill could have been detected. Meanwhile, Haley is upset that Bill hasn’t gotten up yet and passed away. She is impatient and Randy Parker (Maurice P. Cree) has to keep trying to persuade her. Plus, her female con artist friend is ramping up the pressure.
There’s a lot going on about Hailey right now. Plus, she’s paranoid that Danny will take her man away before she can cash her death check. Plus, Kate and Eva Thomas (Ambiel Mitchell) are involved again, which is causing some problems for Izea Hawthorne (David Lamy Friebe).
Anita was depressed about the loss and I wondered if her hair was falling out from the chemotherapy. If no one in your family has been through chemo, my mom did it, my sister did it, and I have another friend who did it. While they were both undergoing chemotherapy, their hair began to fall out.
My mom also lost a few teeth. It’s a bit scary. So, let’s see what happened to Anita. I doubt they’ll pull out her teeth; they won’t do anything like that. But I definitely think we’re going to see her have to shave her head or something like that. It’s a quintessential cancer genre in that they’re telling a very real story, which I appreciate. Very well written.
