After winning Entertainer of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, Gaga sweetly thanked Polanski. “Thank you to my fans, little monsters, for always supporting me, for always supporting the monster inside me, and for being my partner in everything, Michael,” she said in her acceptance speech on Sept. 7. “It has been a beautiful dream to create this year with you, and you have been my partners every step of the way. I dedicate this to you, my love.”
Gaga, who won a total of four awards that night, paid tribute via Instagram the next day, offering a rare glimpse into her relationship with Polanski.
“Working with you to conceptualize this album, create plans, build every vision—talking endlessly about what we would create and do for monsters has been an experience I could never have imagined,” she wrote in the Sept. 8 post. She thanked her partner for their support in confusion. “I love that you love my fans so much and want them to be happy 🖤 You love them so much and it fills my heart with happiness because we are together every day loving them – you care as much as I do about how people feel about being seen in the world.”
She gushed: “I’m forever grateful for your love for me and fighting for me. You worked so hard with me from morning to night and lived the music, the show, the program every day with your blood, sweat and tears – seeing this year every step of the way, I’m the luckiest girl in the world. I love you forever.”
Gaga calls Polanski a “true Renaissance man” who showed her a love she “never knew” by becoming a creative partner in life and love. “You are my artist of the year. And the love of my life,” she concluded.
