Crocodile drowning in disguise to “attract humans into the water” (video)
This is an interesting but terrifying fact: the saltwater crocodile killed 167 people in 2024. As for the sharks, they killed seven people last year. This is a stunning statistic, especially when considering most people regard sharks as the biggest predatory threat in the ocean, regardless of the fear can be sensational and unreasonable. When it comes to it, the crocodile is much more lethal.
Although their ancient reptiles may also be smart in their brains. In the clip below which has already been touring, Indonesia’s saltwater crocodile appears to be playing death, disguised as drowning…trying to attract humans into the water for attack? possible. check it out:
According to the title:
“Recent reports suggest that Indonesia’s saltwater crocodiles have developed a deceptive hunting strategy: pretending to be submerged to attract humans into the water, which they can attack.
“These crocodiles, known for their intelligence and adaptability, may have observed that humans may approach or enter water to help perceived drowning people.
“By imitating this haunting behavior, the crocodile exploits human empathy and increases the chances of successful ambush.”

Wild guess? perhaps. perhaps. But that doesn’t make the fact that Crocs are incredibly aggressive, dangerous, and have a history of attacking humans (and surfers).
Back in 2016, an American surfer was brutally attacked by a crocodile while surfing the Playa Grande in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. The country is notorious for crocodiles, but the country is still shocking. Surfer Jonathan Betker was nearly killed after being seriously injured in a leg attack.
As for the crocodiles in Indonesia reportedly “learned to fake drowning to attract humans into the water” so that they could attack them? It sounds like a shocking horror movie. Maybe just direct Bad one.
