Land drones play a key role in Ukrainian war
Drones have been around since World War I, but most people only consider air units used in modern conflicts. However, the Ukrainian war has given us a glimpse of how military tactics have developed, as drones have become a more critical part of the strategy, including not only air, but also water and land drones.
Robot tanks may be one of the next evolutions in modern warfare.
The latest report from the Daily Mail helps clarify the land drones used in Ukraine. They are quite diverse and play different roles, showing how drones can be used in future wars.

One of the drones highlighted in the report is the Robo Dog, similar to the robot dog we saw in the United States, used to block suspicious situations. Others are wheeled drones that look no different from RC trucks or even combat robots, with only a monotonous olive green, camouflage or matte black body.
When land drones were used to attack enemy forces, it was interesting to hear how some people performed regular resupply missions for the troops on the battlefield. They can bring ammunition, food, water or other things that may be needed to replace the manned convoy, which is easier to spot for enemies.
Others can plant ideal mines to bring out enemy tanks. Some are equipped with heavy machine guns. It’s really a series of drones, and we’re sure we haven’t even seen some.
Among the different designs we allowed to see in the video report, we noticed with interest some of the drones that Michelin and others were making, but didn’t really cause it. War does help stimulate innovation, especially in vehicle technology.
As we have introduced earlier, the Ukrainian army even created improvised drones, which are large but not as obvious. For example, they took out a piece of Tesla from Toyota Mirai, a small amount of C4, and created a rather effective mobile bomb, weakening Russia’s defensive position.
While today’s armor, infantry and other traditional units still make sense and are likely to move forward, drones provide enhancements to military forces. We liken it to what Jeep did for America during World War II.
