New York Golf Club attracts LA to TGL Championship Series

Xander Schauffele scored two points in a singles game, and the No. 4 seed New York beat the top-seeded Los Angeles Golf Club 6-4 in the first game of the TGL playoffs in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on Monday night.
New York advances to next week’s three-game championship series, and it faces the winner between the Bay Golf Club and the Atlanta Avenue GC.
After a uniform first seven holes, New York won the eighth hole when Schauffele set up a 4-foot birdie putt from Cameron Young’s entry. He beat LAGC’s Collin Morikawa in the 5th 5th and 1th 13th , while Rickie Fowler beat England’s Tommy Fleetwood in the 11th 4th .
In two single punches that Schauffele won, he “threw the hammer” the midhole, hoping to double the point value of the hole – the latter hitting his entry volume at 30 feet near the pin with 13th than Morikawa did. In both cases, LAGC rejected the Hammer and admitted a point.
New York was the last team to enter the league’s first playoffs.
“I think you look at how we started, it’s a bad start,” Schauffele said. “I’m watching at home.” [due to injury]. The boys started a rally. [England’s Matt Fitzgerald] Today with us…I think we are all very happy. We think this is possible, but we know it will be a long road. We are definitely happy to be here. ”
Fleetwood had a chance to win the 14th hole against Fowler and keep the lagc alive, but his 5-foot win won the win. This is the first time that LAGC has failed in the whole year. The only loss in the regular season is overtime.
“I think we’re doing very well, we have a chance, but it’s easy to be excited for us with just one or two putts, that’s the decisive factor,” said Lagc’s Sahith Theegala.
