Israel says Gaza attacks will continue

Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said Israel’s attacks in the Gaza Strip will continue in the coming days as protests broke out in Tel Aviv against the continuation of the war.

“This is not a one-day operation,” his office said, adding that he decided to re-attack the major attack on Tuesday after a two-month ceasefire a few days ago.

Saar said the Palestinian Islamic Group Hamas rejected two proposals from U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff to extend the ceasefire and the situation could not continue.

But people protesting in Tel Aviv are opposed to the resumption of the war because they fear Hamas’ lives taking the lives of Israeli hostages in a terrorist attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.

Reattack means “the death penalty for hostages,” reading banners held by demonstrators. “Why are they still in Gaza?” the protesters also shouted.

According to the Israelis, the Gaza Strip and 35 other bodies still occupy 24 people in the Gaza Strip.

The protests in Tel Aviv also targeted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the head of the domestic intelligence department on Sunday for a “lack of trust”.
