Purple Mixed Prime Minister’s Mattress 5 Years Review

If you want to upgrade your mattress, you will be in good shape. According to a recent CNET survey, about one in 10 American adults are willing to invest in sleep, including upgrading mattresses. After five years of sleeping on a purple hybrid 3 mattress, if you are considering bringing a purple bed into your room, I can share my thoughts.

One thing I love about this mattress is its unique feel. All purple mattresses have a purple Gelflex grid that helps relieve stress. This proprietary cushioning technology gives this bed a comfortable feel.

Before I get into the Elf, it is important to note that the purple bed I’ve been sleeping for five years is no longer available. Purple updated the entire lineup, but it is still valuable to talk about my experience sleeping on this particular mattress, as some new purple beds have a similar feel.

First impression

Whenever someone first tries a purple mattress, they have a strong reaction, one way or another. Some people fall in love with the feeling immediately, while others think it’s too weird – mainly because the purple mixed Prime mattress (or any purple bed) may be different from any bed you’ve tried in the past because of the purple gelflex grid.

When I first tried the purple mixed Prime Minister’s mattress, I thought, “It’s so comfortable. I’ve never tried this comfortable thing, I really want to sleep.” Five years later, you’re used to the feeling, and the purple bed feels more like a responsive mattress.

Purple Mix Prime Minister’s Firmness and Feeling 3

Feel

The first thing we first start when discussing the purple bed is the proprietary comfort layer called the purple Gelflex grid.

I’ve slept in this bed over the years and its name has changed a few times, but the material remains the same. This elastic, soft, and responsive material is almost similar to Dr. Scholl’s insole. This is essentially purple bread and butter with a unique feel that may require some habit when you first start sleeping in bed.

firm

The Purple Hybrid Premier 3 offers only one solid option. When my team and I tested it, we found it was around the medium, which was great for me because I was more like a side and back sleeper. However, Purple recently revamped its mattress line to offer more options.

Now, when you look at the new purple restored mattress, you can choose between soft or firm.

Who is the best choice for purple hybrid?

Sleeping position

I usually fall asleep by my side, but I wake up often. Rotating between sleeping positions on the purple mattress feels effortless, which helps me to have less disturbance at night. The Purple Hybrid Prime Minister can be attributed to my two sleep positions, thanks to its moderately firm level.

Body type

I’m a little heavy, which means I feel the purple hybrid 3 is softer than the medium. This is great for me because I sleep mostly next to me and the side sleepers usually prefer a softer bed. My sleeping companion, on the other hand, is more like a stomach sleeper, and even though they are a little lighter than me, they do produce some mild back pain over time and will be better served by a slightly hard mattress (we have it now). This just shows subjective firmness.

Sports isolation

The responsive nature of the purple mattress is something I always like because I am one side and a combination sleeper. That said, this is not something my sleeping partner likes because my toss and turns sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night. However, I wouldn’t say it’s because the mattress cannot be isolated for exercise. If you’re throwing away a lot of stuff one night, responsiveness is what you have to deal with. If so, your partner is a light sleeper, which is a memory foam bed that stops you from throwing away and turning might be a better proposition.

temperature

Purple loves to talk about the ability of these beds to regulate temperature on their websites. Our test team did not have a purple bed that could be classified as “active cooling”, but due to the use of Gelflex mesh material, the purple bed was indeed sleep-neutral.

I slept for a few hot summers and had no real temperature issues. I still need to shake AC in my bedroom when it’s super hot in July and August, but the bed does a great job of adjusting the temperature. I think if you decide to buy one yourself, it will be a purple bed.

Durability

Purple also likes to point out the durability of its mattresses, which I agree to some extent.

Gelflex material will be the most durable. Unlike some bubbles, over time, I can’t see these things degraded. The rest of the bed has the same components you find in most other mattresses such as coils and foam that will decrease over time. But, during the five years I’ve been sleeping in this bed, I haven’t noticed it. The warranty is 10 years, so I didn’t expect to see any durability issues only in five years. At least until 10 years of results, I think the Gelflex mesh material will remain good.

The final thought

I don’t have anything important to complain about the Purple Hybrid Prime Minister 3. I slept for a long time and we switched mainly because my partner wanted to try something else. Finding mattresses that meet two different types of sleeper berths is challenging, and finding mattresses that work for both can require a lot of trial and error.

I didn’t feel any persistent pain and pain throughout the entire five years of sleeping on Prime Minister 3. I’m not the one who usually feels pain and pain, but it’s worth noting that despite my 30s, I still have no back pain. I don’t think it has anything to do with the mattress itself, but with the fact that its firmness level works well for me and my personal sleep preferences.

My body immediately adjusted to the unique feeling of the purple bed. Most mattress brands offer at least a 100-night trial period in purple. I recommend using this trial period to try a purple mattress to see if it works for you.

It was the end of an era for my partner and I, but we were excited about the new purple mattress lineup. Our CNET sleep experts have thoroughly tested and reviewed Purple’s new lineup, so be sure to check out these reviews and videos if you’re interested in one of the new beds.

Your purple mattress should be replaced every 7 to 10 years and all purple mattresses come with a 10-year warranty.

The purple mattress is constructed without flipping in the way of a traditional mattress. Their design can last for a short time without flipping them. However, Purple does say you can rotate every three months or so, although you don’t need it.
