About 900,000 Russian troops recorded in Ukraine

A senior NATO official said Thursday that Russia’s casualties have been around 900,000 troops since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine were released three years ago.

NATO said as many as 250,000 soldiers were killed in the conflict that began on February 24, 2022.

Ukraine has been defending Russia’s shock with wide support from Western allies.

After Kiev’s troops were able to regain some territory after Russia’s initial advance, both sides had been locked in a war of loss for months, with the Russians achieving a gradual rate.

According to NATO’s assessment, “the situation on the battlefield remains very difficult.”

“Although we expect no major breakdown in Ukraine’s defensive line in the coming months, we believe Russia will continue to increase pressure on the frontline and Ukraine, even if Moscow continues to move forward,” the official said.

The official noted that Russian forces in eastern Ukraine have recently gained territorial gains in eastern Ukraine, including near Torrez and Pokrovsk, and Russia continues its strategy of “high losses in exchange for slow growth.”

Russia suffered 35,140 casualties in February alone, according to the official.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that despite his troops retreating from Russia’s Kursk region, he believed last year’s surprise advance was successful, which was successful.

Kyiv decided to open the table in Moscow by launching its own limited invasion in August.

“It is absolutely fair to transfer the war to where it comes from,” Zelensky said in the video address.

Zelensky recorded the video in the Sumi-Ukrainian border area, from which Ukrainian troops were promoted to Russian territory.

He said he had discussed with commanders of the troops still fighting in Kursk what equipment and support they needed.

“We are working to protect our position,” Zelensky said.

Only a few square kilometers in the Kursk region of Russia are still under Ukraine’s control.
