A surprising beacon of joy emerged in six local high schools in the shadow of wildfires that recently ruined Altardner, California, and leaving the community to struggle with how to rebuild life. Alice’s kids want me to let you know they will pay for all your ball tickets. And, if you have paid your ball tickets, they will reimburse your ball tickets. This is a good deal. The Power of Generous Gestures: Alice’s Children
Alice’s children are this generous gesture, a Virginia-based nonprofit that works to quietly inspire children facing financial difficulties. The organization’s unique and dignified approach provides careful assistance to prevent any stigma that may accompany children’s financial struggles. They help with all kinds of needs, whether it’s dance tickets, field trip fees, summer camp enrollment, and even back-to-school clothing.
These contributions may seem small, but we know that the impact on young people’s self-esteem and emotional health is important. Alice’s children operate with a simple belief: every child should feel normal, including and carefree, especially when their families are in financial difficulties. Paying the costs that may result in exclusion ensures that children can fully participate in critical childhood without burden or stigma. Teachers can also apply for help through Alice’s children!
