AHL Announces Changes to Hockey Operators | theahl.com

Springfield, Massachusetts. …President and CEO of the American Hockey League Scott Howson The following changes to league hockey operators were announced today:

Stephen Thomson Promoted to Vice President of Hockey Operations. Thomson, who has been in the league office since 2022, will oversee the league’s ice operations, including managing the AHL hosting program and the league’s disciplinary process. He replaced Hayley Moore, who left AHL for Quartexx Management.

Jeff Jordan Has been named Hockey Operations and Central Registration Director. Jordan has been joining the league office since 2019 for St. Louis Blues, and most recently served as AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds hockey action manager. He took over some of Alison Izzi’s responsibilities, who accepted staff from the National Hockey League’s legal department.

Michael Demarin Promoted to Senior Manager of Hockey Management and Governanceand Shannon Chiras Promoted to Hockey Operations Manager. Both are entering their second season in the AHL.

Since 1936, the AHL has been the top development league for players, coaches, managers, executives and broadcasters in every national hockey league organization. Nearly 90% of today’s NHL players are graduates of the American Hockey League, with more than 130 members of the Hockey Hall of Fame spending some time in their careers.
