Springfield, Massachusetts. …The American Hockey League has announced 2024-25 AHL’s top prospect teamidentified by the league’s hockey operations department and the AHL general manager, are three forwards, two defensive players and one goalkeeper, which are expected to be the best future NHL players.
To qualify as a top prospect team at the AHL, the skater must be 22 years old or under on the first day of the regular season and must play at least 36 regular season games in the AHL and no more than 30 regular season games in the 2024-25 National Hockey League. The goalkeeper must have been 23 years old or under on opening night and played at least 25 AHL games in the regular season and had no more than 20 NHL games in the regular season.
