Springfield, Massachusetts. …The American Hockey League has announced 2024-25 AHL’s top prospect teamidentified by the league’s hockey operations department and the AHL general manager, are three forwards, two defensive players and one goalkeeper, which are expected to be the best future NHL players.
To qualify as a top prospect team at the AHL, the skater must be 22 years old or under on the first day of the regular season and must play at least 36 regular season games in the AHL and no more than 30 regular season games in the 2024-25 National Hockey League. The goalkeeper must have been 23 years old or under on opening night and played at least 25 AHL games in the regular season and had no more than 20 NHL games in the regular season.

Jet Greaves, goalkeeper (Cleveland Monster/Columbus Blue Jacket):

DaliborDvorský He was an excellent season in Springfield in 2024-25, adding 24 assists to the Thunderbirds in 61 games in 2024-25. Slovakia’s Zvolen native, tied for second place with 10 power goals among all AHL rookies and won the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic in February. Dvorský is St. Louis’ first round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft (10th overall) and made his NHL debut against Nashville on March 23.
Konsta Helenius, forward (Rochester Americans / Buffalo Sabers):
The youngest regular in the AHL this season, Konsta Helenius (Born May 11, 2006) scored 14 goals and 21 assists in 65 regular season games in Rochester, and scored 3 goals and 3 assists in eight games in the Calder Cup playoffs. The Finnish Ylojarvi native also helped his country win silver medals at the 2025 IIHF World Youth Championship, recording six assists in seven matches. Helenenius was selected by Buffalo Sabre in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft (14th overall).
Bradly Nadeau, forward (Chicago Wolves/Carolina Hurricane):
Only one of five players in AHL history registered a 30-goal season before the age of 20 Bradly Nadeau Leading all AHL rookies with 58 points in 64 games in Chicago, finishing second with 58 points and being selected by the 2024-25 AHL AHL All-Rookie team. Nadeau, who won the finalist of the University of Maine’s Hockey East Jerokee honors and the Hobey Baker Award last season, nodded at the University of Maine, added an assist in two NHL games with Carolina and skatered at the 2025 IIHF World Youth Championship and skatered in Canada, collecting two goals.
