Airbnb announces new ‘experience’ with chefs, architects, Megan Stallions

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky announced a refreshed home rental website app, a new curated “experience”, and an opportunity to book a professional “service” during a celebrity’s Tuesday press conference in Los Angeles.
Chesky started the media campaign, emphasizing the modest beginning of a firm rental location that began in 2007 when he offered his own San Francisco apartment to travelers seeking residence. Airbnb began to become popular since a decade ago, attracting 272 million bookings in 2019, but it is no surprise that the business fell off the cliff with Covid Pandemic in 2020.
Now, with travel resuming and the site gaining profitability for the first time in 2022, Airbnb is working to diversify its current rental and apartment offerings. With the newly provided “service”, travelers can book catering, massages, makeup services, workouts, professional photography and more using the relaunched Airbnb app. Airbnb “services” are available in 260 cities and can be booked by anyone, even those who do not use Airbnb for temporary accommodation.
Likewise, anyone can use “experience” and offer highly curated opportunities, such as Mezcal, who has mysterious temples in Peru or sommeliers in Mexico City. Airbnb also launched the “Airbnb Originals,” a new experience that Chesky has described as “an extraordinary experience hosted by the most interesting people in the world.” Some examples quoted are learning to dance in Seoul with K-Pop stars, tour with the architects who are working recovery, and with your own Alter Alter Ego with Megan (who participated in the launch launch, performing with Doechii, Doechii, Karlie Kloss, Karlie Kloss, and many influencers).
Mixable light speed
Jud Coplan, vice president of product marketing at Airbnb, said the service and experience allow people to continue to build relationships with Airbnb through their products at home after travel.
The people behind Airbnb’s services and experience are carefully reviewed, proven by Keplan and Chesky. “The service host has an average of 10 years of experience, has completed the Airbnb authentication process and requires the submission of relevant permits and certificates,” the release said.
Airbnb believes that the service and experience offer new opportunities for its current owners, including US hosts with Canadian guests, where homeowners can expand their offerings and offer things like tours and dining. Interested owners can apply through Airbnb’s website to become part of the service and experience.
Chesky also announced new features for the Airbnb app, which include easier access to booking experiences and services, extended options for messaging and sharing photos with travel partners, and a more refined calendar that allows travel to be synchronized with Google Calendars. The new profile section of the app also allows travelers to quickly view all the locations they have visited and connect with Airbnb members they interact with on the go.
