Alexander Blockx and Rafael Jodar continue to climb the ranks heading into the PIF ATP Live event in Jeddah after winning ATP Challenger titles in Bratislava and Charlottesville respectively.
Blockx defeated former world No. 21 Jan-Lennard Struff in the opening match before defeating Titouan Droguet in the final to capture his second Challenger Tour title of the season. The 20-year-old Belgian ranked fourth heading into the live event in Jeddah and will make his debut at the Next Generation ATP Finals hosted by PIF in December. Earlier this year, he won a main draw at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Cincinnati.

Spain’s Jordal jumps to ninth place after success in Charlottesville. The 19-year-old, who was a sparring partner for the 20-and-under tournament in 2024, has now won two Challenge titles in the past three weeks.
Last month, Jordahl spoke with ATPTour.com to discuss how he balances tennis and studying.
“I try to get all my homework and tasks done on Friday and Saturday so I can have my Sunday off,” Jordahl told ATPTour.com in October. “I have my laptop with me. You always have some work to do. It’s better not to think about tennis all day. When I have some free time, I do some work to catch up on the material they’ve done in the weeks I’ve been absent.”
The son of two teachers, Jordahl took pride in managing academics even as he rose to prominence in professional tennis.
“They always put learning first,” Jordahl said of his parents. “I feel the same way. I think learning is very important to your development as a person.”
The Next Generation ATP Finals, hosted by PIF, will be held in Jeddah from December 17 to 21. The deadline for live competition is November 10, with the top eight finishers qualifying for the 20-and-under competition. Joao Fonseca won the title in 2024, joining a list of former champions including Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
