Andy Reid responds to Travis Kelce’s dispute: “I have to be a policeman”

Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid Solved the latest viral live moment between himself and him Travis Kelce.

Reid, 67, and Kelce, 35, bumped into the box and animated off-field in the second quarter against the New York Giants’ Chiefs on Sunday, September 21.

The incident was caught by NBC and then spread like wildfire on social media.

“I love Travis’ passion, man,” Reed told reporters after the game. “I’m happy with that. We don’t have enough time in the second quarter. It’s not where we need it, so in rational situations he knows when to exit the pedal and knows when to push it.”

Reed added: “That’s part of what I love him. This guy is all-round. Sometimes, I have to be a policeman. He’s an emotional guy.”

Ultimately, Reed urged all parties concerned not to “do too much.”

“He’s a passionate guy and I love that part,” Reed said of Kells. “I went through a lot of things with him. That’s all of it. I love him and like playing games. That’s what I love. It’s an emotional game, so I’ll take it.”

Chief quarterback Patrick Mahomes He also told reporters not to exaggerate the tight interaction between his head coach and superstar.

“He’s someone who loves it,” Mahomes said of Kells. “That’s what makes him so good. I know they love each other. This is the great man you want.”

The Chiefs recovered after winning the game 22-9 in the first half away from the Giants. It was Kansas City’s first win this season, with his record improving to 1-2.

Kelce finished the game with four catches for 26 yards. Kelce scored 10 catches for 134 yards and 1 touchdown in the first three games of the season.

Kansas City returns to action at home on Sunday, September 28 against the Baltimore Ravens.

The dust between Reid and Kelce on Sunday reflects a similar situation between the two during the 2024 Super Bowl LVIII.

After being pulled from the game by Reid, Kelce grabbed his head coach with his arm and screamed with an instant viral clip.

“He made me lose balance,” Reed joked to reporters after the game. “Often I will give him a little [back]but I don’t [my] My feet. ”

Reid added at the time: “He’s really here.” [and saying],’Just put me in and I will score. I will score. So, that’s the truth. I like that. This is not the first time. I thank him. ”
