More than 4,000 comments were left on the post, with more than 2.2 million views including several abominable conclusions. One Tiktok user wrote: “He took your father’s last name. Your current siblings, while another user commented: “I and I can never do it.” This is an embarrassing IMO. ”

A few days later, after initially tagging “outrageous” through Tiktok via Tiktok, Anna also headed to her Instagram on Sunday to talk further about criticism. “You know that the comments you made are public, right? Accountability will be public, too.” Anna wrote along with multiple screenshots of the critical comments. “This is a viral video against me, which caused a lot of backlash and controversy (actually ridiculous), especially because all the videos are about my husband picking up my last name when I got married. That’s actually that, and that’s the anger. Obviously.”

Cameron continued: “I was surprised because for me it was normal. I value the partnership we had. We are equal, which is why I don’t think Anna would be named after me. To my surprise, people are frustrated with a man’s name or even a conversation that doesn’t have mine.”

Anna also expanded her ideas while talking to the media, criticizing social media users who believe that a man holding his wife’s last name would reduce his masculinity. “If your masculinity depends on the submission, I don’t think it’s masculinity,” Anna said. “It screams insecurity.
