Anthony Davis called on the Lakers and the Mavericks to deal with the trade between him and Luka Doncic.
After the Mavericks’ first confrontation with the Lakers, Davis recalled the first thing he did after the trade – FaceTime Lebron James.
“I didn’t know S when it happened,” Davis said. “He’s been running for six years…so the first thing I wanted to do was call him. … Obviously, I know there’s a lot of political stuff in the front desk when they talk to me.”
He continued to say that he didn’t believe no one knew about the deal.
“The front desk has to do what it has to do, and obviously they will do the best for the organization. So, I don’t know if I’ve ever had any “real” about it. I don’t know what is real, what is not. So my thing is that I’m going to go to someone who I’ve been running with and see what’s going on, get his reaction, that’s it. We had a conversation. That’s it.
“Everyone said no one knew, and there were all the other ones. I just didn’t believe it. But hey, I went over. I was ready to go with Dallas and try to win the championship with these guys. First, go back to the floor and get ready for the game. All the emotions, s-suspended that night, and it was just a shock.”
Davis doesn’t seem to be too forgiving purple and gold to trade.
“They want the people they want. They do what they have to do,” Davis said. “I don’t know if they have to do that, but that’s what they want to do. I keep going. I have a wife and kids to worry about, do you know what I’m talking about? I’m figuring out how to take them to Dallas and adjust it.
“It’s over and I’m moving forward with the new team and as we keep moving forward.”
