A recent bug found in the iPhone’s Command app switched it to the word “Trump” for “racism”, a development that will surely make liberals chaotically and conservatives smoky.
The issue was first pointed out by users of Tiktok and other social media sites who found that when they say the term “racist”, the app will briefly introduce the name of our current president, as Variety first reported. After that, Apple confirms that its app sometimes confuses one word with another. “We realized a problem with the speech recognition model, that is, we are launching solutions today,” an Apple representative told Variety.
How does Apple explain this weird mix? The company claims its speech recognition feature “can temporarily display words with phonetic overlap before logging in to the correct word”. In theory, this makes sense, but I think Trump’s name and “racist” are pronounced in some doubts. Variety claims its own tests “show other words that can produce ‘trump’ include ‘ramps, ‘rhubarb, ‘rhythm’ and ‘ruffles. It’s worth noting that Apple has been gradually integrating AI with its products.

An account of a Tiktok influencer pointed out that she was able to reproduce the error at least and provided a transcription video of jumping from “Trump” to “racist.” “What do they do? It’s scary,” she said in the video.
Gizmodo contacted Apple for comments and more information about the error.
This certainly doesn’t help, and the concern for conservatives is that big technology is winning them. Even though the tech industry has overwhelmed kissing Trump’s ass due to the election, conservatives have long suspected that tech oligarchs are not around them. In most cases, technology’s downplay of the Maga world is obvious, even especially small fries.
