ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 Reviews: For creators and gamers

Discrete GPUs indicate that the Vivobook Pro 15 offers some solid gaming performance, even if that’s not the primary purpose of this laptop. I tested some games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Marvel competitors. Because this is a 40-series GPU, you can access frame generation and as long as you turn off ray tracing and play at 1080p it can purify over 90 frames in the case of over 90 frames. On the other hand, like Marvel competitors It feels great and represents the ideal type of Vivobook Pro 15.
Sadly, there is no expectation for battery life. Those craving for powerful components and high-resolution OLED screens require a lot of juice. Play local video files in a loop, it lasts only 6 hours and 21 minutes. That is the standardized 100 upgraded brightness on the screen, and the keyboard backlight is turned off. Heavier loads will drain the battery quickly, so this is not the best choice for working on the go.

The Vivobook Pro 15 costs $1,500, and I’ll be clear: this is too expensive in my book. The OLED display is excellent and performs very well, but if you want to save a lot of money, there are cheaper laptops that offer similar performance.
Take the Vivobook Pro 16 launched last year as an example, and it also has an RTX 4050. Since its release, you can currently buy it for $1,000. The screen has a lower resolution – it’s not an OLED – but thanks to its 16:10 display, it’s a more modern laptop. It also only comes with 16 GB of RAM instead of 24 GB. But that’s also the $500 price difference. There was also the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i last year, which often dropped to $1,350, and the RTX 4050 also comes in a similar size. You won’t encounter OLED, but it includes a higher resolution IPS touchscreen panel that fills faster at a 165 Hz refresh rate.
Ultimately, the problem with the value proposition of Vivobook Pro 16 is the lack of a new GPU. This year’s generation-to-generation CPU upgrades may not make a huge difference than previous Intel chips, and since it uses the same graphics card, it’s hard to pay more. This is especially true, as the RTX 5050 may be only a few months away. The quality of OLED still makes it stand out – if it doesn’t have an outdated aspect ratio.
