At least three deputies were killed in the explosion Friday at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Bisluze Training Center, according to law enforcement sources.

The explosion occurred before 7:30 a.m. in the center of East Avenue, where the department is home to details of the Sheriff’s Special Law Enforcement Department and arson explosion, including the Bomb Squad.

Authorities are investigating, but the cause of the explosion is not yet clear.

Sources told The Times that a squad of bombs was moving some explosives when the explosion occurred. LAPD’s bomb squad responded to the scene to help keep any other potential explosives safe and the direct area has been evacuated.

Officials covered the explosion area with huge tarpaulins. About 25 yards from the facility, the SUV cruiser’s window was blown up.
