Baby Emmanuel Haro may have died a few days before it was reportedly missing

Emmanuel Haro, the baby at the center of the weekly missing person investigation, may have died more than a week after the day it was reportedly missing, according to Riverside County prosecutors.

In a criminal complaint against Emmanuel’s parents, Rebecca and Jake Haro, prosecutors listed the potential death dates of seven-month-old Emmanuel as anywhere from August 5 to August 14, and his mother said he disappeared. The parents were charged with malicious murder.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Rebecca Haro said she was attacked on August 14 in the Yucapa parking lot outside a large 5 store while replacing Emmanuel’s diapers. She told them that when she woke up, her child was gone. But investigators said there was inconsistency in her initial statement, and when they faced these details of her, they said she stopped working together.

In an interview with KTLA-TV before his arrest, Haro Black Eyes begged her son to return. “If you don’t know, please come forward or take him to the police.” “Please come back from my son. I’m begging you.”

Vincent Hughes, an attorney representing Jake Haro, said the couple surrendered their cell phones to investigators during the investigation and allowed detectives to search Kaba Zon’s home. Investigators also adopted two iPads, one of which has not yet been used out of the box, and three Xbox video game consoles. According to Hughes, their vehicles were also sent by investigators as part of their search for their son.

Harros was arrested at their home on Friday. Authorities said they forged a story about a mysterious attacker who kidnapped his son.

“A search for the restoration of the remains is believed to be in progress,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement. “While these arrests mark a significant development, our focus remains on finding Emmanuel.”

Sheriff’s investigators are now focused on finding Emanuel’s body. Last weekend, the search team searched for an isolated field in Moreno Valley. Officials said they accompanied Jake Haro but found nothing.

The couple will be held in lieu of $1 million in bail. They are scheduled to be arraigned on September 4.
