Batman: Animated Series Whether it’s comics, movies, TV, radio, you can name it, it’s the best iteration of characters in any medium. The series is an indelible and lasting entry in the history of the Caped Crusader. Over the course of 85 episodes, it solidifies the version of Batman and his world, withstood the test of time. There are many beautiful and thorough episodes Batman: Animated Seriesbut a person who stands out must be “his silicon soul”, the story emanates from a first two stories Batman: Animated Series Science fiction is different from the other stories in the series.
Heart of Steel
The story of “his silicon soul” actually begins with the two-part “Heart of Steel”. An evil artificial intelligence called Hardac (holographic analysis reciprocating digital Android computer) begins creating Android called replicas, a tribute to replicas Blade Runner – Work hard to replace humans. Naturally, Batman defeated Hardac and his army of replicators to save the day.
However, you’ll notice that Hardac looks weird, like the outline of the Batman Cowboy. Alfred reveals the replicant’s ideas to the robot Batman here, and he begins to investigate his creation and purpose. Once the real Batman catches this, the chase begins when the robot Batman activates his real programming and replaces his plan of resurrecting with the plan of the repeater.
But in a battle in a greenhouse between two Batmans, when the greenhouse starts to collapse, the robot saves an innocent man. Here we begin to understand that there are more Batman replicas than we think. In the final climax showdown, the real Batman is believed to have died at the hands of the repeated Batman. Here, “his silicon soul” gained reputation. Even though he is essentially programmed by Hardac to destroy humans, AI’s dungeon in Batman is so good. This man of man believed in the sacredness of life, so much that he destroyed himself to save the people of Gotham City.
It’s a powerful idea, and science fiction often strives for: What is human? What makes us truly human? To watch a show that looks like a child, when I’m still in unit counting age, I’ll get into such a strong and difficult topic. Until today, the last moment of the repeated Batman feels intimate by believing that he has lived with me. “His Silicon Soul” is one of the best moments of voice actor Kevin Conroy’s career.
This idea Batman: Animated Series Willing to make plots like “his silicon soul” showcase the incredible depth and various stories that can be told within the framework of Batman’s adventure. In classic crime stories, it is a real treat to get a legitimate sci-fi tragedy in classic crime stories.
