Below Deck’s Nathan reveals why he ‘kicked’ his dad out when he was 15

Supported by Nathan on the hit series Bravo on Monday, January 26 Victoria Sanjuanwho has feelings for his ex Joe Bradley Showing blatant interest in co-workers Kiki Kitchener. Nathan finds Victoria alone on the swim platform and gives her a hug after seeing how upset she is.
“I’m very protective of friends, family, even my sister,” Nathan explained in a confessional. “When I was 15, I kicked my dad out of the house because I had to protect my mom.”
Nathan later told Joe how disappointed he was with his friend’s behavior. Despite Joe’s best efforts to repair his friendship with Nathan, the two ended the charter season on bad terms.
“I’ve grown since last season and I can see the distance it creates,” Nathan shared during a January episode. “Seeing him get into the same predicament over and over again shows that he has no regard for anyone but himself. I just thought it might be time to move on from this friendship.”
Nathan and Joe worked together in season 10 and became good friends before reuniting this season. As Below Deck Med continues to air this season, Joe exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2025 that he has “yet” to see Nathan and hinted that he is no longer in contact with him. Gail Cameronbaby.
“But from what I’ve seen on social media, he looks absolutely stunning,” Joe said of the couple’s first child, who was born in June 2025. “Don’t get me wrong, I did try to send some messages to Nathan.”
Joe points out that Nathan is probably “very busy at the moment.”
“He’s a father, he’s probably on the ship somewhere – I’m not sure,” he added. “We’re just not very social [and] We didn’t really talk, but from what I could see, what a beautiful little baby it was. “

At the time, Joe reflected on working with Nathan again.
“Having Nathan as my boss is great to watch because you get to see the growth as a person. But don’t get me wrong, you do get to see a very different side of Nathan this season. If you’re more organized, things will go better,” Joe teased to us. “He’s the boss, so I respect his position.”
Joe recalled that he didn’t want to “step on any toes” when he joined Bravado.
“I want to be there. I want to be there for a dear friend and respect the professional position, no matter who he is,” he continued. “So am I nervous? Not at all. I just want to be of service to someone. That’s how I look at it.”
