Microsoft launches native Mac app for Copilot
Microsoft is making its Copilot AI Assistant available as a Mac application. Native MacOS will provide access to the web-based version of Microsoft tools. It is launched today in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. In fact, the application functionality sounds almost the same as the experience of entering the web version of the secondary copper. The real difference is that the Mac app includes a keyboard shortcut to activate an AI assistant with command+space and can be viewed in dark mode.
Earlier this week, Microsoft believed Copilot had voice and deeper thinking and made the O1 model of Openai and offered the O1 model for free for any user. Both moves appear to be aimed at expanding the company’s co-pilot audience.
Big tech companies have a tough history trying to provide their software on competitor hardware. Sometimes, for the exact specifications of other brands, a service can be optimized. The arrival of dedicated MacOS apps that have emerged as iPhone and iPad apps may be as fast as Microsoft is serving the Apple ecosystem.
