Bill Gates says he will donate almost all of his money over the next 20 years

Bill Gates announced at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Gates Foundation that he intends to give up “almost all wealth” over the next 20 years. He expects to allocate about $200 billion until the foundation closes on December 31, 2045, The New York Times Notes were originally intended for decades. Since Bill and his then-wife Melinda French Gates, the Gates Foundation has provided it with several reasons, including those committed to eliminating and supporting malaria, tuberculosis and HIV.

It also fundes a focus on gender equality, mother and child health, and reasons for family planning worldwide. It has paid $2 billion for various response efforts during the Covid-19-19 pandemic. Other initiatives of the Foundation include agricultural development as well as water, sanitation and sanitation projects. However, this is not without controversy, and has been previously accused of not supporting researchers who do not support Gates-backed educational policies, such as small schools and charter schools. It has also been criticized for its lack of sufficient internal debate for postponing the view to the door.

In an interview eraGates said he and his team believe they can achieve humanitarian goals in a much shorter period than originally thought. It seems the foundation intends to bridge the gap left by the pandemic and fill the hole the current U.S. government will leave after cutting foreign aid. He was talking in particular about the United States Agency for International Development’s budget cuts, which lost funds for polio and HIV research and medical assistance. Gates called Elon Musk, especially to cut the agency’s budget “because he didn’t attend the party that weekend.” Gates said that while he admitted that Musk had donated his wealth later or after his death, “Now, the richest people in the world are involved in the death of the poorest children in the world.”
