Judging from what my very smooth, very confused brain can piece together, you are an unfortunate scientist who survived an experiment on one side-quickly pouring in the guts of an ancient, super-large alien civilization. That’s it. Honestly, it’s good. “Plot” is more environment than essential – just atmosphere, brother. Indeed, it’s just an excuse to be wider than your rental bill.
Thankfully, you are not alone, nor are you who are completely human. Early on, the game hit you with a genetic upgrade called “resilience”, essentially, your character went from discount Gordon Freeman to a wall-blasted, flexing momentum-bending physics god.
