Borg reveals the cancer war: “I take it every day, year by year”
Former world ranking first, revealing in upcoming memoirs

Bjorn Borg, the top 1 player in PIF ATP ranking, reveals in the upcoming book Heartbeat: Memoirhe was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The Swedes reflected the diagnosis before the release next week and told the BBC he himself was “always checking” himself.
“[In] In 2023, checking myself again, the doctor said, “It doesn’t look great. We have to do an operation,” Berger told the BBC. “Okay. Is this necessary? I told them. ‘Yes’. For me, this is psychologically difficult. [Did] Has it been spread? I have no idea. ”
The doctor told Borg that the situation was “really very, very bad.” Last year, he underwent a surgery and is in remission.
“[The doctor] Say: “But you have these sleep cancer cells in your body.” It will be a battle in the future, and I hope I will be fine,” Borg said. “I may be fine. So every six months, I go to test myself. Now, I did my last test two weeks ago, so I can do it. I hope to work hard every day. This is something you have to endure. ”
In recent years, Borg has returned to the focus of tennis, serving as European team Laver Cup captain from 2017-2024. This year, he participated in Wimbledon, where he won five consecutive championships in 1976-1980.
In a BBC interview, Borg left information to the audience about his diagnosis.
“So many people die every year, prostate cancer,” Borg said. “If you can, test it yourself.”
