Breakfast Club Reunites in Chicago 40 Years

The entire actor in 1985 Breakfast Club Reunite at the same stage for the first time in 40 years.

“This is one of the films that have stood the test of time,” Esteves said of Breakfast Club. “It’s a movie that has been passed down from generation to generation…we are lucky to be in the right place at the right time.”

Ringwald, 57, noted in the panel that Saturday was Estevez’s first casting contest, joked: “We don’t have to use cardboard cuts anymore. I feel we’re really touched us together.”

During the panel discussion, the actors recalled the audience who worked with Hughes Breakfast Club Director of other iconic movies such as Sixteen candles (1984) and Beautiful pink (1986). (Huce died in 2009 at the age of 59.)

“It changed my parenting, watching with her…but how it talks to her, the characters she agrees with and why it opened up this incredible conversation,” Linwald shared. “If you were 16, I would tell me that one day, I would watch that movie with a 10-year-old, and that changed the way my parents … it was just a shock.”
