Brianna Chickenfry feels ‘betrayed’ in 2025: ‘The worst year of my life’

“This is our last debrief for 2025. And, all my debriefs are brought to you by High Noon. Thank God because they got me through the worst year of my life,” LaPaglia, 26, via Tik Tok Tuesday, December 30th. “I say that lightly and lightly, but I also mean it. I think a lot of people can agree that 2025 — no matter what it looks like from the outside — mental health is going to be a struggle for everyone this year.”

“I was betrayed by some of the closest people in my life, and it’s insane. Anyone who’s been through it knows how insane that is,” she explained without naming anyone. “When something happens to us, it feels like we need closure, or we should have closure, and closure is a word I just started to hate. We feel like we need an apology, we feel like we need a reason, we feel like we need an explanation.”

LaPaglia believes that people who have done bad things or may be bad people may not apologize.

If they do, “it’s not going to work out. It’s not going to change. It’s not going to put a Band-Aid on anything, but we’re desperate for it. Once I realized that, I knew I was in control.”

Lapaglia – who exposed her Polycystic ovary syndrome diagnosis and said goodbye to her “BFFs” podcast in November, adding that 2026 should be the year you “take care of you.”

“If you don’t have a positive relationship with yourself, everything else in your life falls apart,” she says. “Being selfish is actually the least selfish thing you can do because it allows other parts of your life to flourish.”

Just one day before LaPaglia’s TikTok launch, news emerged that her ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan Married Samantha Leonard.

While the country singer may have found love in 2025, LaPaglia chose to focus on her single years.

“I realized this year that I was using my relationships over the past few years to fill some kind of void in myself,” she said. “So what have I done this year? I haven’t even thought about being in a relationship.”

LaPaglia added, “In 2026, I hope you choose you. … I promise you, good things will come to you.”
