BWI Group, a supplier of advanced suspension and braking systems, has increased the production capacity of fourth-generation magnetic dampers.
The expansion adds 600,000 units per year, allowing the Magneride suspension system to accommodate about 2 million units in the coming years.
The company operates production operations in Poland, Mexico and China.
“BWI Group’s newly expanded production capacity can quickly respond to market demand, thereby increasing the impact of various market segments. In addition, it adopts comprehensive quality monitoring, logistics automation and full value chain digitization to ensure zero errors and reliability in production,” BWI Group said in a press statement.
The BWI Group expects that the increased scale will enable automakers to integrate high-performance active suspension systems at a more accessible price, helping them stay competitive globally.
Magneride Systems, known as “active suspension in passive damper packaging”, has been used in a variety of sport and luxury cars.
Over the past two decades, manufacturers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mustang and Cadillac have used the technology in a variety of models.
The fourth-generation Magneride system provides features including the ability to adjust 1000 damping forces per second, extreme temperatures from -30°C to 105°C, and support for customizable driving modes.
The system is designed to combine active suspension benefits with a compact and low-maintenance design.
Since its launch in 2002, the BWI Group has delivered more than 10 million Magneride dampers.
To support consistent and reliable production, the company has implemented automated logistics, quality monitoring and full-price chain digitization.
