Charles Barkley wins Celebrity Golf Championship longest shot

Charles Barkley scored the best celebrity golf performance ever, but remains the biggest long shot to win this week’s U.S. century championship at South Lake Tahoe in Nevada.
Barkley’s odds? 7,500-1 in Caesar Sports Book. These odds attracted a handful of bettors to invest in basketball Hall of Fame with unusual swings. He finished his career-high No. 58 in the tournament last year.
Sports betting set Barkley’s finish line this week at 65.5.
“We’ve seen a few tickets on Barkley to win all, but we’ll probably see them on eBay soon,” Anthony Salleroli, chief golf rival of Caesars Sportsbook, joked in an email to ESPN.
Former tennis pro Racing won the race last year, but retired hockey player Joe Pavelski was a bet favorite at this week’s tournament, just before the last three titles. Pavelski won the game +220 at Caesars Sportsbook, followed by Fish (+240), CBS NFL analyst and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (+350) and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry (+425).
The betting actions for the winners of the event were distributed relatively evenly between Pavelski, Fish, Curry and Romo, Salleroli said. Curry won the match in 2023 and Romo won in 2022.
Other notable players in the 90 golfer field include Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (45-1), actor Alfonso Ribeiro (175-1), Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kells (275-1), ESPN analyst Jason Kelce (350-1) (350-1) and comedian Larry Larry.
