Coachella starts heat, with SoCal heat building

After warm weather this weekend, Southern Californians should prepare for the rest of the week, as heat is expected to be built throughout the area at least Friday at least.

By Thursday and Friday, above-average altitudes are expected to soar 10 to 15 degrees this time of year, with some inland deserts (including locations at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival) hitting triple-digit numbers in the 1990s, which spanned two weekends.

Festival participants arriving at Indiana’s kickoff can expect a high of 100 degrees, said David Munyan, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in San Diego.

“The first weekend of the festival…it will be a hot weekend,” Munyan said. “There aren’t a lot of shadows out there, so of course, we always want to promote hydrated, light-colored clothes.”

In the Inland Empire, Thursday and Friday climaxes are expected to reach the 90s, while the Inland Valley in Los Angeles and Orange County may enter the 80s. Forecasters say the coast will see the least important warm-up, but the highs will remain above average, hitting the mid-70s.

“We may be warming 3 degrees a day throughout the week,” Munyan said on Monday. “The real hot days of this week will be focused on Friday, Friday.”

The high-pressure dome that drives this mini heat wave is expected to dissipate over the weekend, although temperatures will begin to drop – although the desert will be slower in the desert.

“It still looks hot on Saturday,” Mooyang said of Coachella.

“Looks like the second weekend [of the festival] Not that hot, but there is still some uncertainty. ” he said.
