“Connors” series finale uses archival clips, but does not use Roseanne

“I just can’t stand it, so I don’t [watch],” Barr, 72, told Los Angeles Times February 2023. “It’s my message when they kill my character, knowing that I already have a mental illness or have a mental health issue, they do want me to commit suicide.”

She continued: “They killed my character. … All of this is thanks for the 28 million viewers you brought, they never had and never saw it again. Because they could kiss my ass.”

Despite Barr’s absence on screen, the final season focused on Dan, trying to seek justice by suing a pharmaceutical company that killed Roseanne due to opioid addiction.

Off-screen, Barr moved to Hawaii and settled in Texas.

“We have 30 acres of land and live in what they call ‘Hill Country’,” Barr’s son Jake Pentland Specially share US Weekly Earlier this month. “Roseanne also drives tractors frequently, which allows her to mow the lawn. She drives around. She occasionally encounters trees, but just keeps the yard in the yard.”

Pentland hinted that Barr might move to Florida again, adding: “She also has a lot of close friends living in Palm Beach, who are always hanging out, shopping and going to dinner. She is very low-key in Palm Beach and loves to sit on a boat with friends or on the beach.”
