Convicted serial rapist may have dozens of victims in multiple countries, police fear
London police said a man was convicted of drugs and raped 10 women this year for being convicted of illicit drugs and raped in multiple countries.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, he was found guilty in London last month and raped 10 women in the UK and China. Zhenhao Zou was found guilty in London. Zou has lived in the UK since 2017, serving as a student at Queen’s University of Belfast and Queen’s College, University of London.
Metropolitan police said in a statement this week that 23 more women came forward after police publicly begged survivors to step up. Authorities also said that according to the statement, they had “examination that there may be more than 50 other victims living in it”.
Police found through investigation that Zou met women using social media platforms and dating apps such as WeChat, Little Red Book or Bumblebee and invited them to his home under the guise of studying or drinking with him.
Once inside his home in central London, he will provide women with a drink containing a substance that will allow victims to flow in and out of consciousness. According to police, Zou filmed himself while raping and sexually assaulting them.

After a woman came forward to report to Zou, police searched his house and found the substances as well as many hidden cameras, laptops and cell phones. Investigators said: “The true scale of the crime was discovered.”
One victim stepped up to police, and Rachel told the BBC she delayed the report because she initially agreed to return to his residence to drink, so she thought it was a piece of agreement. When he was in Donggui’s apartment in China, Zou turned to Rachel and stabbed her drink.
Rachel told the BBC that she had experienced “dizziness” before Zou took her to the bedroom and she was unable to speak or move when she allegedly raped her.
“Zhenhao Zou is a dangerous and prolific sexual predator who manipulates and drug-administered women in the most timid way,” said Kevin Southworth of Metropolitan Police in a statement.
Southworth added: “We are determined to support all victims and now ask women who think they have concerns about Zou to stand up.”
Zu was convicted in March of 28 counts – 11 counts of rape, three counts of voyeurism, 10 counts of possessing an extreme pornographic image, one count of false imprisonment and three counts of guilty, with the intention to commit a sexual offence.
