Damian Lillard returns to new front desk position

Damian Lillard is adding a new champion to Weber State’s general manager of men’s basketball.

The seven-time All-Star team became the latest player in his role as general manager of etiquette at his alma mater, joining Davidson’s Stephen Curry, Oklahoma’s Trae Young, Patty Mills of Saint Mary’s, Florida.

But Lillard insists that he hopes it is more than just a number one position.

“This is my relationship with the coach [Eric] According to Ogden’s Standard Expector, Duft and this program mean a lot to me, and to me, it means a lot to me, and to me.

“I have all the resources I have, and I have the opportunity to create for the program, and when they join the program, I’m excited even after the program. I look forward to doing this work, looking forward to continuing to advance to college and improve the course. It will be fun.”

Weber State’s season is about to be in 12-22, although the Wildcats have played several 20-win sports in recent years. It’s been a decade since they last played in the NCAA Championship. Lillard brought the program to March Madness in 2012 and now hopes to help ensure the next generation gets the support they need to compete at the highest level.
