Man, I’m excited when sexy Peter Porte reprises his role as Dimitri and returns to our screens. He comes to Salem to reunite with Leo Stark (Greg Rikart), only to find that Gwen has done her best to ruin both of their lives.

Well, Dimitri shocked newlyweds Leo Stark and Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) with his return, just two minutes after they said “I do.” Of course, the happy couple was getting ready for their wedding photos when Dimitri arrived in Salem. Leo and Xavi were surprised to see Dimitri walking towards them in a suit. He looks super handsome. I love his long, swaying hair.

Looks great – super sexy. Regardless, Leo was especially shocked since Dimitri broke off their long-distance relationship. He stated in a letter that he had an affair with a prison hottie, fell in love with him, and never wanted to see Leo again. But then Dimitri surprises Leo by saying he didn’t write the letter. He didn’t even know what letters Leo was talking about.

Dimitri didn’t have to look far to find out who wrote the breakup letter. Of course, his dear wife Gwen has the means, the motive, and the opportunity to break Leo’s heart. Gwen despises Leo and Dimitri for their betrayal. I mean, I understand why she did it. Given these strange circumstances, I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same thing myself.

In her opinion, why should Dimitri and Leo deserve their happily ever after? While Gwen had been Leo’s best friend for years, her best friend cheated on her husband. Dimitri breaks Gwen’s heart just so he can get a big payday. Guys kind of take it for granted. Xavi knew Leo had unfinished business after meeting his ex, Dimitri.

He asked Leo to discuss it with Dimitri, and then said that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) needed to postpone the marriage license. Marina said they had 10 days to file the application to legalize the marriage, so time was of the essence. Meanwhile, Leo confides in Marina, who advises Leo to let his heart guide him.

Spoilers for later this week say Leo does prove his love for Harvey. We know that Dimitri is going to kiss Leo at the Dimira mansion, but I think that after that kiss, Leo will ditch Dimitri once and for all.

This rejection will definitely anger Dimitri, as he still loves Leo and thinks they will be together forever. Gwen kidnapped him, broke up with Leo on his behalf, and spent his money while he was hidden away in Alamainia and imprisoned in a luxury prison for several months.

It is a gilded cage that houses the beautiful beast of Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera. Besides being sexy, the man was dangerous, and Gwen knew it. As you may recall, EJ DiMera (Dan Ferrigal) was Gwen’s accomplice in the kidnapping of Dimitri.

That’s why she’s so invested in EJ’s secret lab. During a confrontation at the DiMera mansion, Dimitri told Gwen he wanted a divorce. Dimitri, who claimed he only had to marry one woman before he turned 40, told Gwen there was nothing in the addendum that said he had to stay married. However, he could be lying.

Dimitri asked for a divorce, but that didn’t work for Gwen because she wanted to keep his money. Plus, who knows how much money she’s already spent on that secret lab? She’s waiting to get a return on her investment.

If Dimitri did try to divorce her, I might see Gwen stalling, filing objections, or asking for huge alimony payments. Gwen told Dimitri, “Get out of the mansion, crawl into a room at the Salem Inn, and be with or near Leo.” But Dimitri said that since he was a Dimera, he would stay home.

He didn’t think his uncle EJ would mind if he stayed. Dimitri’s point of view is very wrong. Gwen is still angry that Dimitri and Leo humiliated her. I honestly think Gwen ended up being more angry with Leo than with Dimitri. Leo’s betrayal made her even more hurt.

The threat of Dimitri and the shadow of Meghan Hathaway

Dimitri threatens to prosecute Gwen for kidnapping, but he has no evidence and Gwen denies that she did it. Dimitri then threatened to contact the ISA. However, he betrays the agency when he lies and attempts to steal the gem for the Alamein Peacock.

Most importantly, ISA is not Dimitri’s friend. His mom, Meghan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson), can’t come back to Salem or she’ll be arrested on sight, but he might call her for advice on what to do with Gwen.

Dimitri wants Gwen to pay in some way, either literally or figuratively. If Dimitri cannot prove that Gwen kidnapped him, he will find another way to get revenge. It’s possible that his mom told him he couldn’t divorce Gwen because it would be bad for him or break the rider. If that’s the case, Dimitri might decide that it’s better to be a grieving widower than an unhappy, angry husband.

If you remember, Dimitri insisted on staying at DiMera’s mansion. He tells Gwen that he will stay at his family’s house “even if it kills us.” So the question is, will Dimitri really go to such lengths to get revenge on Gwen and get his fortune back from her greedy grasp? Yes, it might be.

I could see Dimitri plotting to kill Gwen if his other avenues of revenge didn’t work. Also, if Dimitri thought EJ was going to help him, he would be shocked. Little did he know that his uncle had helped arrange his kidnapping. Once Dimitri finds out about this, he may also target EJ over Gwen. the days we live in.

Dangerous Alliance: Kristen DiMera and Gwen Rizchic plot revenge on Days of Our Lives

This probably wouldn’t do Dimitri any good. It would be better for EJ if Dimitri died and Gwen kept the property as a grieving widow so she could continue to fund the secret lab. Plus, Gwen will soon find another partner in crime, as Christine DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) soon returns home to the mansion. She and Gwen would be toast to both getting what they wanted. For Kristen, it was revenge against EJ. For Gwen, it was revenge against Dimitri.

With these two conspiracies, everyone better be careful. So, the big question is: Will Dimitri actually try to kill Gwen? I think so. Don’t forget, Dimitri was planning to murder Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) in cold blood until Vivian Alamein (Luis Sorel) shot him in the back and stopped him. We know Dimitri is capable of murder, and he really, really hates Gwen right now.
