Days of Our Lives: Gwen and Leo team up – plotting to capture Dimitri!

days of our lives Gwen Rizchic (Emily O’Brien) is really angry because her plan to punish Leo Stark (Greg Rikart) by bringing back Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porter) backfired.

Now Gwen wants to get away from her cheating husband again as soon as possible. Leo also wants this big guy to disappear. We discuss whether former best friends Gwen and Leo can put aside their differences and work together to get Dimitri out.

Now, let’s get started. When Gwen drags her cheating husband Dimitri out of hiding and brings him back to Salem, we know Leo and Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) are going to be in trouble. You can tell that Gwen wants Dimitri to make it to the wedding in time to disrupt the wedding before they say “I do.”

If you remember, you could tell that Gwen was waiting for something big because during Leo and Harvey’s romantic New Year’s Eve wedding, she couldn’t stop looking at her phone, checking the time, and she looked impatient and annoyed. So Dimitri doesn’t show up until after Harvey and Leo are announced as husband and wife, disrupting Gwen’s plans.

But then everything blew up, as Harvey quickly told Leo, “You have to work things out with Dimitri.” Just this week, we’ve seen that Harvey refuses to let Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) submit a marriage license.

So, that means it will expire, which means it will be like Harvey and Leo never got married. It just eliminates it completely. Now, Harvey’s father is undergoing open-heart surgery and must leave Salem for Texas.

Harvey leaves Salem while Leo struggles with his feelings

This week, following little Trey’s hastily arranged christening, we see Leo heartbroken as he has to say goodbye to Harvey, who has now left town indefinitely. We know he’ll be back. I’ll discuss this later.

The problem is, Leo admits to Harvey that he still has feelings for Dimitri. There’s clearly unfinished business there. While I think Leo’s heart does belong to Javi, there is still some chemistry between Leo and Dimitri. Honestly, I think it’s mostly lust. Peter Potter is so handsome I mean, we can all see it.

So, now, Harvey gives Leo his wedding ring back, and all we see is Harvey crying. He refuses to keep the ring, but Leo vows to keep it until he can put it back on Harvey’s finger. It’s so heartbreaking. Very sad. Now, Leo had to say goodbye to Harvey. I bet Leo will try to fix things with Dimitri when his soulmate leaves Salem.

Gwen’s Revenge: The Day of French Fries and Bank Account Freezes

Meanwhile, Gwen blushed. She couldn’t believe that Dimitri had cut off bank accounts and credit cards. Gwen is humiliated by Julie Williams (Susan Seavers Hayes) in the bookstore. So, she finds Dimitri, snarls, steals his french fries, then dumps his lunch on his lap and pours his beer on his head, which I think is pretty well done.

Of course, her husband is still salty. Because he was pretty sure Gwen was behind his kidnapping. He was right, but he had no proof. Dimitri keeps telling anyone who will listen that Gwen kidnapped him, but no one seems to care. They all told him, “Call someone.” You know, call someone who cares. Isn’t that the saying? This is a quarter, please call someone who cares.

To be fair, it was EJ DiMera (Dan Ferrigal) who helped Gwen orchestrate Dimitri’s kidnapping and imprisonment. They plotted it, but I think EJ saw the key factors that made it happen. Of course, he’s more than happy to help Gwen as long as she’s willing to use Dimitri’s money to fund a secret lab hidden behind the free clinic at Salem University Hospital’s Tom Horton (Zach Chizzy). So, there are bargains out there, but when EJ comes back to town, there’s going to be a problem. So, Gwen really needs to figure this out.

Days of Our Lives: Gwen and Leo hit rock bottom in Salem

On top of that, Gwen bringing back Dimitri has turned into a huge disaster. He plans to divorce Gwen and get all his money back, including the money she spent. I don’t know where he got his idea from.

Then Dimitri thought he was going to ride off into the sunset with the love of his life, Leo. These are great plans, but I don’t think they will come to fruition. I think Dimitri needs to watch his back because Gwen is getting more desperate every day. She just admitted, and I thought this was great, that the thing she hates most about Dimitri is ruining her relationship with her best friend Leo.

So, I suspect Gwen and Leo will be sitting down to talk anytime soon. With Dimitri cutting off Gwen’s financial resources, Gwen basically hit rock bottom. Meanwhile, Leo hits rock bottom after Harvey breaks him off emotionally, returns the ring, and leaves town with no return date. He did threaten that he didn’t know if he would come back. We’ve already seen the story of Leo asking Gwen to re-kidnap Dimitri in exchange for giving up the secret lab.

Will Dr. William Rolfe turn Dimitri into a lab guinea pig?

Now, at the time Gwen lied and denied it, but now that things have taken a turn for the worse, I suspect she might be ready to work with Leo. To be honest, he also missed the days when he and Gwen were good friends. So, despite their anger, I think they will realize that Dimitri is a common problem that they need to solve together.

I’ve mentioned in past videos that I think Gwen could turn to Dr. William Rolfe (Richard Wharton) for help in EJ’s absence. The DiMera mad scientist was on their payroll, and he knew that Gwen funded the state-of-the-art lab and all of his research. Therefore, Rolf would probably agree to take Dimitri away from them, knowing that it would be vital to funding research.

What would be really soap opera would be if Rolf told them he was going to kidnap Dimitri and said he would take him back to Alemannia and put him back in a luxury prison or take him to the Dimera private island where he would be safe and sound but out of contact. But instead, Rolf threatens to snatch him away, and Dimitri wakes up as a guinea pig in a secret laboratory, while Leo and Gwen think Dimitri is back in the lap of luxury.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: February Sweeps and Harvey Recast

So, that’s the big question in all of this. Will Gwen and Leo team up to get rid of Dimitri like they did before? We know that Leo claims to be a changed person because of Xavi, but he also knows that if Dimitri stays, Xavi won’t come back with him.

So, I think at this point, both Gwen and Leo have reached a point of despair, and they might be willing to put the past behind them, let go of the past, and work together. Gwen was really hurt when Leo repeatedly slept with her husband during their honeymoon.

Of course, Gwen faked the breakup letter he received from Dimitri, which left him hurt. So, they’ve both done really dirty things to each other, and they just need to make peace and bury the hatchet – and they can bury it on Dimitri’s back.

I don’t think Gwen’s husband will be in Salem for long. February sweeps start next weekend and they always do big storylines. Things started to pick up pace. So Dimitri’s fate may be revealed during the sweep.

Meaningful storylines told by Peter Porte on DOOL

Peter Porter says he’s delighted to be back days of our lives He called the storyline meaningful, but he didn’t indicate how long he would stay this time around. We all know that Days is a revolving door with people constantly coming in and out. So, Gwen and Leo probably tried to get away from Dimitri, and they did, but then he ran away and then came back like a bad coin. We’ll see how things go.

I want to see Leo and Javi’s happily ever after. Al Calderon is coming days of our lives Until May, and then they recast Harvey because Al Calderon was on the NBC show Brilliant mind. So Xavi and Leo will most likely work things out, which means Dimitri has to go. My money is on Gwen and Leo teaming up to take on Dimitri and they plot together to reunite them forever and become best friends.
