days of our lives Fans are hoping some characters will return long-term or on a more permanent basis. Of course, Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) is gone forever, despite their attempts to bring him back into someone else’s body. Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) is gone, of course, but there are plenty of other characters we miss that we can still get back even if the characters themselves are dead.
Days of Our Lives: A shout-out for Hurricane Sami
Okay, first things first. Therefore, some fans love her, and some fans love to hate her. Hurricane Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) is the first request for a long-term return. Even when she gets short-term rewards, you know she’s the ultimate queen of chaos. when alison sweeney returns days of our liveseven Sammy’s brief visit packs a punch.
She absolutely shocked Lucas Horton (Brian Dattilo) and their son Will Horton (Chandler Massey), as well as her exes EJ DiMera (Dan Ferrigal) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gerin) when she announced that she was engaged and maybe Sami would show up with her new fiancé Dante Vitali and we could meet him.
There’s even an online petition calling for Alison Sweeney to come back for good, but she’s busy with Hallmark movies and other projects. So I would be shocked if we brought Sami back for anything long-term because Alison Sweeney has so much commitment.
Will Horton’s full-time return and representation of the Horton family
Speaking of Sami, though, another return we’d love to see is her son Will Horton. We see Will occasionally, but never for too long at any one time. So when John Blake (Drake Hogestin) dies and then they host a party for Tom Horton’s (Macdonald Carey) free clinic, we get a glimpse of Will.
But fans are hoping he’ll return to Salem full-time with his husband Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker), especially since Will and Gabby Hernandez’s (Cherie Jimenez) daughter Arianna will be attending college in Salem for the foreseeable future. Many viewers want to see Will return, just like Holden’s representative.
Peggy Larson Returns: Fan Favorite Resurrected on Days of Our Lives
Well, next on the list is a resurrection that many fans would love to see. That’s Paige Larson (True O’Brien). It’s been ten years since Page came to power, and she’s still doing it days of our lives In short, right before the terrible tragedy happened in 2014-2015. She is the daughter of Eve Donovan (Cassie DePaiva) and Eduardo Hernandez, and the niece of Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien). You see, young Paige’s life was full of drama. Her end was very tragic. She is a piano prodigy and dates JJ Deveraux.
If you don’t remember her, they were high school sweethearts. But Eve wants JJ Deveraux out of Paige’s life. In a typical soap opera plot, JJ Deverox and Eve had a steamy romance at one point, but were caught by Jennifer Horton (Kadie McClain). Additionally, she blackmails Eve into backing off and letting JJ Devereux come back with Paige. She later dates a creepy drug dealer who works for Clyde Weston (James Reed).
Page was planning on giving information about this guy to JJ Deveraux because I believe he was an undercover DEA agent at the time. But then tie killer Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) strangles Peggy to death in her dorm room. Years later, Eve kidnapped and tortured Ben, making sure to make him pay.
Of course, Paige is back in ghost form now, but it would be nice if Dice resurrected Paige since JJ returned to Salem and seemed to be sticking around for a while. They also resurrected other Tie Killer victims. You know, Will was one of them, and he came back. So why not Page?
Claire Brady’s potential return amid family drama
Next up, another character fans are hoping to see is Claire Brady (Isabelle Durant). We know there’s been some pretty big drama in the life of Bella Black (Martha Madison) and Sean Brady’s (Brandon Beemer) daughter lately. So Claire lives in South Africa and dates Theo, but then he suddenly comes back to Salem because he broke up with Claire after she cheated on him. Her dad, Sean, was recently in South Africa visiting Claire, and he and Belle are certainly missing their daughter, and Claire has been mentioned a lot lately, and then Sean just went to visit her, and maybe she’ll be back soon.
Plus, Claire may need to come back, as her dad Sean may be starring in some life-and-death drama based on the new blockbuster days of our lives The promotional video is out. It looked like he might be shot.
We hope the fan-favorite couple returns to Salem for good
Additionally, there are couples who fans hope will reunite and get back together. One is a duo that we see at holidays and special events, you know, pretty regularly, a couple times a year. That would be Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant, and of course their twins Jules and Carver. They recently returned to meet Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) adopted son Trey and attend a Horton party.
Plus, Eli Grant has some FBI stuff to discuss with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gerin). Of course, we know Eli Grant and Lani will always come back for the holidays, but wouldn’t it be nice if Lani, Eli Grant, and the twins returned home to Salem for good? I know Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Paulina Price (Jackie Haley) will love it. Of course, so will the fans, Theo, all their loved ones, Julie Williams (Susan Seavers Hayes), and everyone.
Another couple that fans would love to see return but seems to have little hope of seeing is Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal). And, of course, their two young children, Bo and Addie. But they seemed to be having fun traveling the world on Fancy Face, and since Robert Scott Wilson is now on screen as Alex Kiriakis, it’s going to be a questionable return. So that seems highly unlikely, which is why we usually just have Ciara come back without Ben. But I had to mention it because fans requested it.
Joey Wesley’s shocking return: Alex and Stephanie’s baby bombshell?
Speaking of Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) man Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), I think it will be very interesting and dramatic for Joy Wesley (Alex Ann Hopkins) to return to Salem soon, as she should be ready for the birth of her and Alex’s child, or may have already given birth to that puppy. If you remember, Joy lied to Alex and Stephanie and said she wasn’t pregnant, when in fact she was. So, you know, maybe Joey waddles back to Salem in time to drop off the baby, or waltzes back in with an adorable newborn in her arms. Alex says he’s interested in kids, but Stephanie doesn’t seem interested. But in that feature-length promo, Alex and Stephanie might be getting married. So, this is the perfect time for Joey to come back because we know Salem’s wedding is a recipe for disaster.
The Ultimate Super Couple: Will Beau and Hope Brady Return?
Of course, there’s another couple people are eager to see return for more than just a minor arc or sideshow: OG super couple Bo Brady (Peter Recker) and Hope Brady (Christian Alfonso). When Bo first came back from the dead, Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) brought him back, and then he was shot by Sean and put into a coma, we got a very tenuous return.
And then we get the whole story of Beau’s sepsis, which is not a Hope and Beau reunion story. It was more about exiting John Black after the death of Derek Hogestyn. So, this isn’t about bringing Beau and Hope Brady back to us. Man, I think it would be nice to see them back and have them have a long arc, at least for a while.
Reorganization of the DiMera Family: The Return of Vivian Alamein and Stefan
The last couple I want to see again is not a romantic couple, but a mother and son. I think it would be fun to have Vivian Alamein (Louis Sorel) return for an arc with her son Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). If you recall, Vivian and Ivan G’Vera kidnapped and abducted Stefan back to Alamania last year.
Stefan is always funny, and if Stefan comes back and explains that he never wanted to divorce Gabi and that his mom Vivian forged the papers and threw them to Gabi before stuffing Stefan in a suitcase, it’s sure to complicate things for new couple Gabby Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Philippe Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier).
