Even though we’re hearing about them all the time, Disney has theme parks in only six locations: Anaheim, Orlando, Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong. They won’t come anywhere or in a very cautious mind. So whenever new news is announced, it’s a big deal, and Disney has just announced a new theme park that is about to arrive at its seventh location: Abu Dhabi.
In conjunction with Miral, Disney will open its latest location in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. According to the press release, it will “combine Disney’s iconic stories, characters and attractions with Abu Dhabi’s vibrant culture, stunning coastlines and breathtaking architecture.” Miral will build the park with the help and guidance of Disney imagine.
“This is an exciting time for our company as we announce plans to build an exciting Disney theme park resort in Abu Dhabi, whose culture enriches art and creativity,” said Bob Iger, Disney CEO. “As our seventh theme park destination, it will rise from this land in a spectacular way, blending contemporary architecture with cutting-edge technology to provide guests with a deep immersive entertainment experience in a unique and modern way.”
“Disneyland Abu Dhabi will be Disney and the obvious emirate, an oasis of extraordinary Disney entertainment at this crossroads of the world, which will bring our timeless characters and stories to life in many new ways and will be a source of joy and inspiration for the people of this vast area for generations to enjoy.”
We don’t particularly know what this means when it comes to the sights or the park’s appearance, but the announcement video does provide some tips.

And you’re going to freezing– Style castle? That’s cool.
