Disney mom faces allegedly child abuse charges after catching a teen in battle when crowds gather to watch a magic kingdom parade

A tourist’s tour of Disney World caught a teenage girl when crowds gathered to watch the parade of the Magic Kingdom, a move that allegedly left nails on the victims.

Martha Zapata-Echeverri, 51, of Kissimmee, Florida, was arrested for child abuse after a dispute broke out in Disney’s Magic Kingdom on Monday night, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to Fox 35, Zapata-Echeverri allegedly caught a 17-year-old girl in a confrontation on the street in front of Cinderella Castle, just before the night parade at the amusement park began.

Authorities say the teenager suffered bruises and scratches on her arm after being pulled apart by Zapata-Echeverri.

Authorities say no independent witnesses saw surveillance footage of the fight or incident, which took place in a densely crowded area where large groups gathered before the march.

It is unclear which arguments are caused by teenagers and Zapata-echeverri. Everyone made a statement to the authorities.

The teenager told authorities that the battle broke out when Zapata-Echeverri reached out to her with a hand in an attempt to make room in a crowded area. Zapata-echeverri allegedly grabbed her by the arm and pulled her aside when the teen asked her not to touch her.

Authorities say the dispute has resulted in obvious harm to the teenager.

During the Zapata-Echeverri recap, she said she was following her daughter to the parade route when the teenager started pushing into her and claiming she was her space. Zapata-Echeverri then showed police how she pushed the girl back with her left arm.

When authorities asked the teen how he held nail marks on his arm, Zapata-echeverri responded unclearly and signaled her to use her open hand.

Deputies wrote in an arrest report that Zapata-echeverri touched the girl “intentionally and intentionally” in a way that could cause harm.
