Doctors say Trump said in “Excellent cognition and physical health”
Donald Trump’s doctor said the oldest person elected as U.S. president is “completely suitable” as commander-in-chief because the White House began Trump’s physical examination results from Friday.
Trump is 78 years old and his physician Captain Sean Barbabella quoted what he said about Trump’s “active lifestyle” and said “continue to make a huge contribution to the well-being of the Republican president. Trump turned 79 on June 14.
In a report released Sunday, the doctor said Trump “expressed excellent cognition and physical health and was fully suited to the duties of the commander-in-chief and head of state.”
The results show that Trump has lost 20 pounds since his last physical president in 2020. He was 244 pounds at that time and now he has lost 224 pounds.
The exam summary states that Trump had previously undergone cataract surgery. This surgery is usually an aging person, often involving removing cloudy glasses and replacing it with artificial lenses to help clear vision.
Barbara said Trump’s days included attending multiple meetings, public appearances, media availability and “frequent wins in golf games.” Trump is an avid golfer who says he recently won the game at a club owned by Florida.
Trump’s cholesterol levels have increased over time, with the help of the remaining drugs.
On his body in January 2018, his total cholesterol was 223. At the beginning of 2019, the reading was 196 and 167 in 2020. Today is 140. Ideally, total cholesterol should be less than 200.
Increased blood pressure
His blood pressure during this physical examination was 128 years old and over.
Trump’s heart rate is 62 beats per minute, which is consistent with previous tests. The normal resting heart rate in adults ranges from 60 beats to 100 beats per minute, and generally, lower speeds mean better cardiovascular fitness.
Trump also takes aspirin, which can reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
