President Trump announced Wednesday that he plans to nominate Dr. Casey as a surgeon after nominating his previous selection Dr. Janette Nesheiwat.
“Casey has an impeccable ‘Maha’ certificate and will be with our outstanding Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Mr Trump said former Fox News contributor Dr. Nesheiwat will work with Mr. Kennedy’s “another identity” at the Department of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Nesheiwat is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, but her nomination is in trouble on two fronts. Mr. Trump’s conservative activist Laura Loomer, who calls on new surgeon nominees, said Dr. Nesheiwat “is unideologically consistent with the president.” The report also raises questions about the authenticity of Dr. Nesheiwat’s resume.
She is the sister son of Michael Waltz, who served as Mr. Trump’s national security adviser until last week. The president said he would nominate Mr. Waltz as ambassador to the United Nations.
