Drake adds Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance to targeting record labels

Drake expands libel lawsuits against Universus Music Group, saying more people are considered rapper Kendrick Lamar himself a pedophile after performing Don’t like us At the Super Bowl halftime show and the Grammy Awards.

Drake said in a revised complaint against his record label Wednesday night that the performances introduced a fierce attack on Lamar by millions of new listeners and caused more threats to Canadian rappers and their families.

In a statement Thursday, UMG said Drake’s allegations were unfounded and that his lawsuit was an insult to creative expression.

“There is no doubt that Drake is one of the most accomplished artists in the world, and we have a 16-year successful relationship with them, and his legal representative misled his legal representative and took another ridiculous legal step,” Umger said.

Accuse UMG of strengthening Lamar’s music

UMG attempts to dismiss Drake’s original lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court on January 15 and will have the opportunity to dismiss the amended lawsuit.

“UMG will be held responsible for the consequences of its bad decisions,” Drake’s attorney Michael Gottlieb said in a statement.

Drake and Lamar have had a fight for about a decade, including through a series of competitive Diss tracks.
