Eagles extended Kim Se-young’s LPGA Korea lead to 4 strokes with 17 strokes

HENAM, South Korea — Sei Young Kim shot a 3-under 69 on Saturday, with an eagle on the 17th hole helping her extend her lead to four shots heading into the final round of the BMW Women’s Championship.
On a windy and cloudy day at Songtan Golf Course on the Korean Peninsula, despite a bogey on the 18th, Kim Jong-un finished with a three-round total score of 197, 19 under par.
Yealimi Noh (67) and Nasa Hataoka (69) tied for second.
American player Brooke Matthews, who was one shot behind after the second round, made triple bogey on the par-3 15th hole, finishing with a score of 74 and six strokes behind Golden Six, ranking tied for fourth.
Defending champion Hannah Green shot an 11-under 68, eight strokes behind Kim and tied with fellow Australian Minjee Lee, who shot 71 on Saturday. Brooke Henderson also shot 71 and was nine shots behind the leader.
This is the first consecutive LPGA championship held in South Korea, with the International Crown Team Championship scheduled for next week. After the International Crown, two other LPGA events will be scheduled in the five-stop Asia series – in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Japan.
